Bengals QB: This Year Only....

I heard someone mentioning this.

 

For THIS YEAR ONLY would the Bengals have a better chance of getting to the AFC championship game and beating the Pats with Andy Dalton as the QB or with Carson Palmer as the QB?

Palmer. More experience and the better arm. Only advantage for Dalton is he can move around the pocket better. Palmer wins every other measurable.

I would have to go with Palmer's experience although AD's being more mobile makes it a close call.

Dalton. He will be fine. It was one game. The numbers he has been putting up this year are better than the last 4 years, so I predict the team will have better results in the playoffs this year than the last 4 years.

I believe that if Carson never left the Bengals still would have been a playoff team the last 4 years and probably would have won a playoff game or more if he was still here. Others won't admit this, but he has shown that he is better than what people thought at the end of his time here.

 

With that said for this season, I do think Dalton is a different type of player and has a different demeanor about him. So the last four years I would have taken Palmer, but this year it would be a coin flip for me. I do think this team is capable of making a run with Dalton.

Assuming there is no injury risk, I'd be comfortable with either.

This year, I would take either in the playoffs but based on being a coin flip to me I would go with Dalton for the continuity.

 

I am happy for Palmer and his success this year (except this week).

Funny people said the same thing about Palmer his last year here. Even though he was trying to throw to two receivers who liked to free lance on their routes. However people said that was just an excuse lol. Dalton and Palmer have both been very good this year.
