What a tragedy. As someone that goes to a ton of sporting events, I often wonder where the parents are of these kids running wild. Not trying to place blame but you never know what could happen when your back is turned.

Kids shouldn't or parents shouldn't have to worry about that at a game

Kids are going to play

I played at games and never saw my parents till after the game

I hope the person suffers the worst possible

It's time for our government to make stricter laws ad harsher punishment for crimes against little kids

I am going to say they have their man. Probably making sure they have everything in order so there will be no mistrial. There is school I am told in Allen County tomorrow.

Have you heard things?

This.......my kids play at games on the sides or the adjacent field all the time. Really, really scary.

Here is a photo of the area. The football field is not next to the wooded area. If anyone is from this area, where do kids possibly play when they are not watching the games? On the northern side of the field I can clearly see a fence, I do not see it all around the field though, well, not close to the field, the fence there is on the bottom right hand corner of the photo just above that asphalt where you see the line of dirt. But on the west side towards the baseball fields there doesn't seem to be any fence?

Why did she leave the area and end up all the way in the woods? At first glance it would appear, as I said earlier, that the murderer was younger, possibly in their teens. Or someone that she knew and or trusted.

I read what her mother said (in the first report) and for reason it struck me as strange to me I would be out of my mind. Hopefully it’s just me nothing to me could be worse than a child being hurt by someone they trust.

Let’s all pray they find who did this.

Was she found in or near that pond? I don't see a creek in that photo.

There are a couple of houses right next to the pond it appears

From the south end of the bleachers to the woods is a very short walk between the baseball and softball fields. There is a worn area south of the bleachers which may be where the kids play during games.

What did she say?

What did she say?

“I'd give anything to hold my baby girl just one more time. Please continue to pray for my family. I don't know why anyone would do this to a baby or anyone for that matter!"

I thought the dad said that. Maybe he said something similar.

With all the crazy stuff happening in the world this event just strikes so hard and has left me more shaken than any of the other sad events this past weekend.

Prayers for her and family.

No argument with any of that other than to say the world has changed for the worse and it's no longer safe to let kids be kids. Someone has to keep an eye on them or check in regularly.
