Congrats on a great season to West Carter. The way the team battled back when it looked like Lawrence was ready to put them away is a huge testimate to the resolve of the kids. You all deserved to be district champs.

As for the game, I feel like the better team won. Lawrence got a little conservative with a big lead and let off the gas some but West made some plays and Lawrence got tight. The decision for West to play one on one with the Dalton's was a rough one as they abused the West secondary early in the game. The Dalton's are match up problems for anyone in EKY.

Exciting game to watch with both teams making big plays. West's QB is lightening in a bottle and their running back ran extremely hard. One of the Dalton's (not sure which) made a Sports Center type one handed catch then caused everyone in West's secondary to miss on his way to a TD.

Great night of football in Olive Hill.

Great season by our kids. Nothing to be ashamed about. Great job by our kids, led by the Seniors who are some of the best kids I've ever been around. Hate that it's over for them but they've accomplished things few thought possible. They have changed the culture of the program (0-10 as freshmen, 9-3 as seniors).

Lawrence was the better team tonight. Good luck to them going forward.

Congrats to LCHS on the Win.

I have to say that I hate to see the WC run end. This was the best team ever in your programs history. The Comet players and coach Brown are class acts. Nothing at all to be ashamed of.

Dawgs up 45-20 and let their foot off the gas. Credit WC for scoring the last 18 points and almost coming up the on side kick with around 3 minutes left.

Congrats to the Dawgs. You've earned another crack at Belfry... Yay?

Most people predicted a shootout and that's exactly what we got.

I'm sure this stings for the Comets right now, but this was a banner year for their program. Now we'll see whether or not they can build on this success and sustain it. I know they lose a lot of talented seniors, but perhaps this year's success will inspire the younger kids to work hard and continue to push the program forward.
