You miss the point. This has zero to do with fairness.

I'm loving the attention on Carson, same as Trump before him. Meanwhile our next President Rubio continues to climb the ladder.

I've yet to decide who I'm backing, and when I finally do that'll be between me and the ballot.

 

It kills me when the media reports who is leading in the polls, as who can really verify this information?

 

It feels more to me that they report who they'd like to push for whatever reasons.

 

In the first Republican debate Carson barely got a word in edgewise and rarely was even asked a question... Then out of the blue he's the guy?

 

...And now that he's the guy, he's being cut open possibly for the dramatic effect of watching him eventually fall out of favor. Weather or not he's deserving of a so called lead in the polls, it just seems bizarre how fast he went from being a nobody to a perceived somebody.

 

Not for moral reasons, but it sorta reminds me of the 2012 race with Herman Cain looking sort of like a relevant possibility until he began sweating all the sexual advancement accusations. He wiping the drips from his head with a hanky made it all to obvious in a comical and embarrassing way that it likely was all true, and if it was how in the world didn't he realize that it wouldn't all eventually come out?

 

If you put yourself out there you better have a clean record that can't come back to bite you. There's bound to always be someone out there who remembers the time you drank too much and embarrassed the hell out of yourself.

 

I certainly won't be running for president anytime soon.

 

With that said, it does seem amazing that Obama with a known stoner past ended up our president. I personally don't have an issue with that, but it was a surprise that this wasn't made out to be that much of a big deal.

 

Normally the long dragged out race gets on my nerves and bores the hell out of me, but I have to admit that though this time around it feels like a ridiculous farce that makes me think that my deceased parents would never have believed, it is somehow entertaining, all the while sadly feeling like our country is hitting rock bottom with the way it is playing out.

 

SNL has always found a way to make mockery of our politicians, but now they don't even need to stretch or exaggerate anything as all they have to do is replicate reality for their comical material.

 

All Larry David has to do is talk and he immediately sounds and looks exactly like Sanders. They're so interchangeable that it makes me wonder if Bernie isn't first a comedian before being a politician.

 

He certainly appears to be making a serious run for it, but I just have a hard time believing that someone as liberal as he is can gain even enough of some of the most leftist Dems to punch the ticket for him. My memory is probably foggy, but I don't recall ever a leading candidate being this liberal. He somehow holds a stature of aged experience, but his character seems hard to take seriously as does many of the other candidates democrat or republican.

While I hear what you are saying, it's a little different with Carson, IMO. We've now had a black President. That wasn't the case with Obama. I think the "shock" of a black President has worn off most folks.

You miss the point. This has zero to do with fairness.

Fooled me. All I've read the past week is a steady stream of whining from the Pachyderm Club that, by golly, Democrats have free rein to take potshots at Carson, but by golly, Repubs can't do same with Obama. It just ain't fair!

Of all the whining both sides do with "well, you weren't outraged when your side did X, Y, or Z" (which grates my nerves more than anything), this one I was thinking about a couple days earlier. Claiming someone is a racist is a incredibly serious claim, and it is thrown out haphazardly too often when people are backed into a corner or have no other counter-argument. It is the ultimate trump card (no pun intended) because the burden of proof is thrown onto the accused to defend themselves.

My post is not meant to insinuate all claims of racism towards our President is invalid. A LOT of truth in it I feel.
