Actually, Beechwood's enrollment is about 50 students higher than NCC. NCC has higher male enrollment while Beechwood has higher female enrollment. I understand that Beechwood has a higher male enrollment currently in the middle school.

 

NCC, Newport and Holy Cross are all within 10 male students of each other on the last enrollment stats. If Beechwood would move up, it would likely be one of these three schools moving down to 1A.

well to me and many others he (QB) is a well balanced player, from his game playing to his attitude. watch some film smith is a good player as well but terrible attitude, more mouth than most. and all I'm saying if your so good in your Divison why not take on the challange? that's what's wrong here know one wants to step out the box and feel what the next level of compition is? is this NCC last year to make a run? like someone else posted before looks like a down slop is coming. it's just sad that NCC only believes in one player when I've seen more than the one you speak on. and to say he battle with Beechwood I don't think so!!!! Once again HC please take this from them!!

Exactly how many games have you watched NCC play in person this year? I'm going to guess maybe one, against Lloyd. My point is simply this. Why should NCC have to move up a division? Just so some can get that they think they deserve? Like I said before, to be the best you have to beat the best. I hear the same crap every year that NCC is down or headed for a slump, but every year NCC proves the haters wrong. NCC had more than one good player. One player does not make or break a team. So stop hating on Smith and just let the kid play.

Not sure if NCC is a better team I will say this the QB for NCC is a good ball player, , HC's Barnes is nice and will run anyone over in his way. To me he is more of a threat than the always talked about smithwhy hasn't NCC moved up a division if they are the best I mean let's face it they go to state but get punished badly HC 26-NCC 20

Why are you so worried about Smith? You are begging HC to take this game, is that because you feel Lloyd has a better chance of beating HC than NCC? Btw, just my opinion you should really try spell checking before posting!!

i can't see Ncc winning this game if smith is not 100% he had 31 carries last time they played and is the big reason why they won last game. John Harris is okay but he's not Jacob smith.

When NCC played Beechwood I'm sure it was fun watching Smith and Slusher go back and forth. wish I could've been there. Would've been fun to see 2 of NKY's best athletes goin at it all night.

 

Smith was actually bottled up, other than a 60 yard run. Wasn't much to see. Slusher was his usual self. The fun battle was watching BW line try to figure out how to stop Lawrence from NCC. He was the best football player on the field IMO. Lived in the backfield all night.

 

Anyhow that's off topic. Jacob Smith by all accounts is full go. NCC is a better team, significantly better in the trenches. While I've been clamoring for Barnes to get the football on O more, the Abernethy kid is a big loss, especially defensively. NCC wins this handily.

I think you are not clear as to what myself and other's are saying. by far no one is taking away the game from Smith, but we can give credit to other player's as well. I known Smith way before he was what he is today, and I hope and pray that he has an amazing time in College. but I know for myself far to well that attitude plays along with talent! and to say the least about being competitive I did it in a State that ALWAYS sets the tone for competetion. now to say I need spell check, I'm good but I can and will check you!!! I'm not saying NCC has not done a good job at this game but what I am saying is compared to All the other years the underdogs are COMING!!!! based on all the games played. you can put it on penalties and so on but HC and Lloyd's game against NCC was an exciting one to watch. it's funny how people wanna try and shut down the underdogs because they think the school they back up is the best. so before you call out what is and what is not, be Fair to the game and be fair to all who are a factor. and as I stated before I like NCC's QB, and I like HC"s Barnes and Lloyd's Durham along with Smith, and from what I hear HC or Lloyd is scared to play NCC again. now on the don't hate part, I am never a hater always an uplifter and motivator for young people. please don't get me twisted with this lingo because I can go both ways with this battle and I truley see how upset this has made you so I will keep my posts to myself because I will always come out hard with mines.

If I'm not mistaking NCC is already playing up.. Could of played down but chose to stay... So really what's the fuss over NCC won't compete at another level cause they are!! Smith is doing what he does and without him on this year team NCC wouldn't of won this many games without him. That's just how it is!! Not taking away from the team pointing out the obvious!

Ncc will beat HC and Lloyd to but I do want to add who could of beat DeSales last year? Yes, NCC got beat up on but imagine a Lloyd team playing them? Crushed!!
