November 2, 201510 yr Reports on ESPN this morning states he badly tore his MCL and may be out up to 12 months. I feel really bad for him. Great RB who has gotten hurt twice now in the last 2 years. Wish him a quick and 100% recovery.
November 2, 201510 yr Vontaze Burfict is getting grief in the Pittsburgh media about his reaction after the tackle of Bell. Vontaze Burfict starts in Bengals' win; Steelers angry for hit on Le'Veon Bell and celebration - Cincy Jungle
November 2, 201510 yr Hate to hear the news about Bell. Loved watching him carry the ball against anyone but my Bengals. Hope he comes back better than ever. As for Burfict, who knows? he's an emotional guy and celebrating a tackle is nothing new in the NFL. If he knew Bell was hurt, that's a completely different story in my book.

November 2, 201510 yr Ramon Foster had some social media rant about it. Then he must have forgotten when Mitchell did something similarly when he hit Hyde on the knee and knocked him out of the SanFran game

Vontaze Burfict starts in Bengals' win; Steelers angry for hit on Le'Veon Bell and celebration - Cincy Jungle I read that and as soon as I did I couldn't help but remember back to the playoff game in 2005. I was sitting in the 2nd row of the endzone and after Carson Palmer got his knee blown up by Kimo, they showed the hit in the jumbo tron while Carson was still laying in the ground and when they showed the replay Larry Foote was watching it and as soon as he realized Carson was seriously hurt and would be gone he started celebrating and dancing in the end zone. The biggest piece of crap I've Ever witnessed was Larry Foote celebrating the injury. I didn't see Burfict celebrate the injury at all but when Steelers are complaining about that, maybe they need to think about what some of their players did back in 2005 and just shut up.
November 2, 201510 yr Reports on ESPN this morning states he badly tore his MCL and may be out up to 12 months. I hate this for Bell. I really enjoy watching him play football, just wish it was for a different team. Is tearing your MCL worse than your ACL? I always thought the ACL was the worse ligament to tear in your knee.

The Dr on ESPN said that the problem with this type of injury is after the surgery he has to wait until it is completely healed before he can even begin to put weight on it to start the rehab process which is why it takes so long. He said if it is "loose" then it will not protect the knee and the knee will never be stable which is why he has to wait until it is completely healed before even putting weight on it and starting rehab.

Oh gotcha. Well that must be the difference then because with the ACL, they want you rehabbing right away. Had my surgery on a Friday and first rehab session was Monday.
November 2, 201510 yr I really enjoy watching this kid run. During the game it was said he grew up loving Corey Dillon. You can see some similarities. Hate to see him go down.
November 2, 201510 yr After making the tackle on Bell, I saw Burfict sprint out of camera range (don't know what he did after that). Something to consider...maybe he knew he was right by the Steelers sideline and didn't want to give the impression of celebrating the injury, so he got out of the way quickly. I have no idea what he was actually thinking.
November 2, 201510 yr No more than 10 minutes before the Bell injury a Steeler fan fiend of mine posted a pic of the Palmer injury on my FB wall and I commented " that sort of ___ has a way of coming back to haunt you " and boom no more a few plays and Bell is carted off . Ugly karma , but karma cant be beat .
November 2, 201510 yr The Steelers played a total of 23 plays with Ben, Brown, Bryant and Bell. I'd argue when they are all healthy (which they aren't/weren't obviously) they are among the league's most dynamic. Hope he gets healthy for next year and can remain that way.

Coming into the game I picked your Steelers to beat us. After seeing Ben the first series, even though they scored, he just didn't look right. Before his first Int I turned to the wide and said Ben can't step into his throws and any deep ball will be a jump ball and that is exactly what occurred. After seeing him struggle the Steeler fans will have to sweep this season under the rug and hope to be at 100% next year. I would also hope they go out and bring in another backup QB depending on how hurt Vick is. Plus Bick is so bad that when Landry is your best QB you are in trouble.

Ah, I'm not totally tossing this season away. 4-4 doesn't sink the ship yet. Of course they'll likely have to finish 6-2 for any shot. Possible, but sure way tougher without Bell and the rest. I'd also bet Ben is far better this Sunday than what we saw yesterday. Always is the case with him historically after injury return.
