I agree with you on depth. But what I think about is they played within 4 points of John Hardin, they shut Allen County Scottsville out 22-0, played within 5 points of Franklin Simpson and lost Friday to Greenwood 14-6. In addition they played both Bowing Green and South Warren closer than score appeared and seemed like they gave up when they fell behind by 2 or 3 scores. They have kind of been a Jeckel and Hyde team all year not knowing which team will show up. If they put a full game together I feel they can give Hopkinsville all they want if not then it could be another long night and my thoughts would then be moot.

I hope you're right I think I would rather see Central at FS than FS at S of C.

Collins 3 over Valley 2

 

I tend to agree, but I wonder if Collins has mailed it in? They were absolutely destroyed two weeks ago by Shelby County, who is certainly good, but that's not a great performance in a rivalry game. Then last week the lost big to an Anderson County that is far from vintage and lost to the same Franklin County team Collins beat.

Somerset over Leslie County. Leslie gave up too many points against Whitley in their season finale. I Leslie having problems with teams that have speed to the outside, and teams that can pass successfully into the flats and swing passes to the backs leaking out of the backfield.

I think that two possible ones I see is Grant Co over Madison Southern and Dunbar could give Lafayette all they want, especially if Lafayette tries to live off of the win they got in week 1 over them. This Dunbar team is a lot different than the team we saw in week 1.

I think the Highlands, CCH, Dixie, Grant Co District has a good chance at a clean sweep.

Looks like the Manual-Ballard game could go the crimsons way (#3 seed). Ballard was penalized heavily the first time they played and lost a close one that came down to an incompletion in the endzone in the final seconds. Can Ballard shore up those penalties? Maybe not...they were penalized 13 times for 125 yards just last week.

#3 Bullitt East is certainly capable of beating #2 Fairdale. Not sure the current injury situation there, and I remember Fairdale really shut down East offensively last year, should be a competitive game. Of course I thought East should be John Hardin last year in the playoffs and they didn't even act like they wanted to be there. So will be interesting to see if they're already thinking about turning in equipment and moving on to basketball season.

 

#3 Doss is also capable of beating #2 North Bullitt. North should win, but it seems lately they've played a good quarter or half and then had to survive (see BE and BC games) until the end. If they don't start fast against Doss I can see this also being a good first round match-up.
