November 2, 201510 yr I have spent 10 minutes on Twitter searching for an explanation. Can't find one How does a media person at a press conference NOT ask about this?
November 2, 201510 yr DUI is serious. Still, this thread wouldn't be even a quarter as funny if JA didn't spend the last month from atop his high horse in the College Basketball forum denigrating all those "robots" that have the gall to support anything related to Louisville.
November 2, 201510 yr I have spent 10 minutes on Twitter searching for an explanation. Can't find one In post #198, you said it had been explained in this thread. I skimmed through again & couldn't find it. Am I missing it? Honest question, not trying to be difficult.
November 2, 201510 yr So maybe this is how it was one game. An OSU guy explained it to me like this. He says the wording that says first-time offendes will be tested in a stringent mannger and "any positive test for those under 21" is ONLY applied to those who are ALREADY in the management program. Could be worded a bit better but I can see that interpretation.
November 2, 201510 yr So I did some checking into UK's policy since someone refernence/ asked. There is no longer a Zero Tolerance policy. Coach/school discretion.
November 2, 201510 yr Lucky he didnt steal those crab legs , Urban wouldnt tolerate that ! Please stop. Need an ignore button. There is actually real discussion in this thread, and it's UK hoops season. Don't you have something better to do? Like fabricate another drug and alcohol policy or continue your DUI hypocrisy?
November 2, 201510 yr In post #198, you said it had been explained in this thread. I skimmed through again & couldn't find it. Am I missing it? Honest question, not trying to be difficult. I thought I understood it to be misdemeanor vs felony. Clyde set me straight. I can't find it, sorry.
November 2, 201510 yr I often think that in cases like these the coach does damage by trying to sell us too hard on the kid. We all know people make mistakes. We don't need an explanation to try to make it better. Urban said today that JT told him he didn't think it was an issue or he would never have driven. Problem is he saw the checkpoint and turned around to avoid it. He suspected it. Stop with trying to make us feel better. We get it. Many of us have been there.

He probably got behind the wheel like most of us have done, "I'm fine". I'm sure that mentality changes when you see the blue lights. I think he's been punished accordingly. Public shame, missing a home game and a full session of a free ride I am ok with. Time to put it in the mirror.

The rest I'm good with. I'm sure there will be some punishment we don't read about i.e. early morning runs.

November 2, 201510 yr Yep. This is Urbans first big issue at OSU. He needed to make a statement, I think he did. Feels like the Gators cost JT and his family some money.
