Southern California 42 Utah 24

USC just proved what 98% of the country thought all along about Utah... frauds.

USC looked like USC!! Wilcox even called an average game defensively, which is a 70% improvement.

Is everyone a fraud that loses. Utah has been impressive and had an off night.I didn't think USC would win, especially like they did based on who Utah played before and how they beat most of them.

Between USC winning and Georgia Tech beating Florida State, it will make things interesting.

If you read all these CFB threads everyone that loses is either a fraud or gets exposed.

Heck, sometimes you don't even have to lose.

Wouldn't surprise me a bit if we get posts that the National semifinal playoff losing teams are called frauds...

If Utah is a fraud, then my opinion that Michigan has played nobody and isn't any good is spot on. I think you saw what most thought you'd see from USC. That is one of the most-maybe THE most-talented teams in the country. NFL players all over the place. Amazing what happens when your head coach is a distraction.

So, all you guys thought that 3rd place ranking was justified, huh?

Well, last year showed that FSU was a fraud. They were given their ranking based upon what had happened the previous year and the fact that they had success against a weak schedule/conference. A few years ago Notre Dame was exposed as a fraud in the national title game.

Based on what happened prior to last night, yes.

Did it also prove that Alabama was a fraud? And the entire SEC west as a result, because no conference is given rankings more than that conference? Or is only a non SEC team a fraud?

Like I said in another thread. ND loses to Clemson by 2 @Clemson. In a hurricane with a few freak turnovers. Beats USC by 10 and now USC smashes UTAH , who smashed Michigan.

Lamar Dawson finished with 4 tackles. He has had a hard time returning from that surgery that sat him down last season.

Not bursting anybody's bubble here, but according to the guys calling the game USC was the favorite going into this game. Remember, I heard it on tv, so don't kill the messenger. I'm wondering how Vegas saw this pregame. Anyone?

I looked it up. Vegas Insider had USC favored by three points. Nearing game time USC was favored by almost seven points. (FWIW)
