Cats Pause 8th Region

Featured Replies

I think he is top 10.

I can't understand how there are so many glaring mistakes in this publication year in and year out and I'm not talking about the rankings and other things that are a matter of opinion. It takes little research to know when a top ten player has transferred.

The information used is normally gathered before a lot of transfers may become official. I'd say most information was gathered in the June time frame.

Few thoughts:

Oldham is my favorite to win region.

It will be interesting to see how Owen does with their transfer.

Simon is 4 on reputation alone.

Swan song for Jones at Gallatin?

Williamstown will be the surprise of the region.

Hard to believe Grant County isn't a top 10 team in the 8th after watching them at Simon this summer.

Owen has the best team in the 8th and the best player and neither of them are really close in my opinion. If you haven't seen Carson Williams play, you NEED to. The 32nd district is probably the most wide open in the state. I think all 4 teams in the 32nd are top 10 teams and you could make a case for any of the 4 teams even Williamstown to win the district. Grant Co. will be interesting to watch though, 0 experience outside of Rose and Saylor but they will be very quick and should play good enough defense to win games.

Not knowing all the players in the top 10, the 8th must be loaded because I thought for sure JC Hawkins from Simon Kenton would make the list.

This^^ Hawkins is a baller.

He didn't play last year. Voted on by coaches so if they didn't see him play he's not going to get much love.

Then they should get out and watch a little summer ball.

Will be an interesting year. SK should be good. I watched Owen County play SK last year. SK had no problem with them. SK was up on them then Williams hurt his foot. He is a big time player. I hope SK plays Owen this year it should be a good one. SK should have the size to match up with them.

Lol. I don't think coaches are out researching for their rankings for CatsPause. Many are more worried about their own team.

Yeah I know, but it sounded good.

I don't think Shelby is 3rd without Gordon. Still a solid team, but losing him hurts. Also, I was surprised to see South at 5. They must be expecting to be much improved from last season

What kind of size does SK have?

I forgot to add, I was also surprised to see Grant Clarkson in the Top 10 and not Jakson Test as well. Grant is definitely deserving and crazy athletic, but Jakson is just as good, if not better.

Kelch is around 6'7 maybe 6'8

Williams 6'5 265

Hawkins and Fries at least 6'5.

It should be an interesting season. Fries and Hawkins have me intrigued. I wish SK @ Owen wasn't on a Tuesday.
