Ryan Howard of Leslie County will be one of the best RB's in EKY next season if he doesnt play QB. And if he does he will still probally be one of the best RB's....

See post #13!

Sophomore Daniel Harmon should be Pikeville's top back this upcoming season and he is going to be one of the top backs in the mountains the next 3 years.

The Clark kid from Russell should be right amoung the top. Belfry and Pikeville along with Paintsville usually have a couple of very good backs and I wouldn't count out the Thomas kid from Ashland. I think that last season he may have had too many high expectations pinned on him for such a young kid. I don't know. Raceland will have a Denton kid that I understand has looked very good in the spring and I know that he is going to be one heck of a linebacker.

Corbin should have a solid stable of backs with the likes of Blake Freeman and the addition of T.R. Christopher from Bell and hosscat Sophomore Michael Campbell. CJ Light, Josh Sanders, and others are also plenty capable of getting some good yards this year.

Kevin French may see some action bake there.

Hunter Luttrell- Harlan High School. Transfered from South Oldham during the school year. Also Jon Lundy who played quarterback his freshman, sophomore, and junior season will see time at both places.

Lundy is a pretty good back.

But to say one of the best in EKY is strecting it a bit. :thumb:

Lawrence County may not have one great running back but like they do every year they should have a pretty strong backfield for this fall.

Joey White for Boyd Co. should have a big year. He was playing behind Sargent last year and not getting a lot of touches. He runs hard and smart. I look for a big year from him.

I think I remember this kid when he played against Lawrence.

Yeah, I think he had a pretty nice game against the dawgs. He doesn't have any quit in him. He's a very nice back IMO.

Considering RB T.R. Christopher from Bell Co. made the WYMT All-Mountain Team as a sophomore, and led the Bobcat's in rushing, I would consider him one of the top RB's returning.

Also, the Bobcats have an up and coming sophomore RB in Spencer Greer who has been very impressive in the weightroom and during summer drills. He was an unbelievably great RB at the JV level, and got some Varsity experience last season at both Corner and RB. From the looks of things this summer, he is more then ready to step up and tote the rock for the Varsity, and is pushing for a starting spot.

Kasey Clark in my opinion is the best in EKY... but I am sure another sleeper will arise from the Mountain area.....

I have one in mind, ... but will wait to post anything on him just yet! ;)

BTW, I agree on Clark. He is phenomenal!
