Plenty of sun and sand, great food, plus Puerto Rico brags the only tropical rainforest on the US Forest Service's register, along with the most bioluminescent body of water in the world, as well as Spanish fortresses in San Juan dating back to the 1500s. I just checked round trip airfare for January 10-17, and it looks like it's running around $314 each.

October 19, 201510 yr A friend of mine just took a trip with his wife to Punta Canta in the Dominican Republic. They had a great time at an all inclusive resort, he said they would definitely be going back. I think it was around 2k for the two of them. The only catch is that you will want to stay inside the resort once there. But he said the resort is the size of a small town.
