The Super District has began District play, Paintsville beat Fairview, Fairview beat Raceland and this week Paintsville and Raceland meet up. Who wins the District Championship? Who wins if there is a tie breaker? Who deserves to be be mentioned in the Top 10, Top 20? Who moves up after this week? Who moves down?

RAM, is Crittenden County in the 11 to 15 range? Just curious.

I am sticking with Paris as a "sleeper" pick to possibly come out of the East.

Crittenden County is at 14.

Im still not sold on Paris, their squeek by win over Nicholas County raised some red flags for me. If Raceland is without Clark, Christian, and Carmen this week, idk how they can hold up defensively against Paintsville and offensively, they need to stick to the run and quick out/deep middle passes, as those are the only thing Davidson seems to be comfortable throwing. Pikeville's switch at the QB position has made them more multi-demensional which makes them that much more dangerous. If Raceland gets those guys back, I think the loss to Fairview could be a wake up call and hopefully makes us play better from top to bottom. With district play going strong, things are shaking themselves out.

I'm not sure how Crittenden keeps falling in rankings but keeps winning. Both Russellville & Crittenden have played the same two teams the last two weeks with each winning both games. Russellville moves up & Crittenden moves down. SMH

I've watched a lot of 1A football this year. I like Paintsville and Paris in the east. Both teams have excellent defenses, Paris has weapons all over the field, Paintsville has one of the best players in the state (Baker at Ashland makes it close). With all that said...

I don't think anyone in 1A will beat Beechwood

Beechwood is making a believer out of me. I will admit that I had some concerns at the start of the year. Their line play has improved with experience and the defense also has improved. The coaches are doing an awesome job bringing this team along and making improvements each week. I am looking forward to the New Cath game in two weeks. That is always the game that shows us how strong Beechwood is and where the weaknesses are that need to be fixed for the playoffs.

It's very possible; they are better than some want to give them credit for.

My only hang up with Paris is their struggle with a Nicholas County team that had been the whipping boy of their previous district for allost ten years. Raceland was defeated by a Fairview team that Paintsville blasted, but I dont think anyone in the Raceland district would lose to Nicholas or Paris. So its hard for me to rank Paris higher than 6 or 7.

Agreed, I am not picking them to come out of the east but I am saying that they possibly could, should a favorite have a bad night, not play their best then Paris could get them.

If you were at the game you would have seen that Paris was getting bs calls...kids got called names as they left the field from the classless fans. If your judging team off of one performance that's your choice
