I agree with some of what you have said, but the squid kick was not all about JJ Ogabagu & Andy Thompson. Boyle has been doing this all year because the kick coverage team is not that good.

I disagree Boyle's special teams have been solid all season how many times this season have they recovered those pooch and squib kicks the answer is several, but it wasn't working against Catholic and the Knights are too good to give a short field all night long.

Catholic was in the red zone a few times also and didn't come away with points.Catholic could of scored more points too, let's not forget that.

BTW, which Lexington Catholic fan is going to serve me my crow? I prefer it well done if I get the choice of choosing.

Well done, over a bed of charcoal was the best way to enjoy the crow. Splash of tobasco sauce and you still enjoy the flavor of the crow.

I admire anyone admitting that they got 1 wrong.

Hopefully there will be a rematch! :thumb:

You know it will be. If it happens we have to get the fellas of BGP on the LC and BC fan base to meet up prior. Trash talking, buffalo wings, and a few cold ones. I'll help make it happen

I hate losing to Catholic more than anyone else but I believe we watched two of the best teams in 3A Friday night and I can't help but believe that one of these two will win the state title.

I was wrong in another post when I described the H&L play. Watching it live, I thought it was a Post/Shallow & Dig/Go combo... Instead it was a Post/Shallow/Seam/Curl combo with a throw to the curl and pitch to the shallow. Most versions you see are a little easier to defend with a Hitch/Shoot look. This one is much more difficult b/c it is tougher to defend that shallow than it is a shoot.

Anyway, a couple of things...

1) Don't sleep on Central - I understand everyone wants a rematch, but Central poses a lot of problems for Boyle. They are one of the few teams with the speed to match up with Catholic AND the physicality to match up with Boyle.

2) This game was big for playoff positioning, but LexCath still will have a tough road to a title after the 2nd round - Central/Boyle & Caldwell still out there - nevermind Belfry in the final.

No matter what there are some crazy matchups for the month of November.

LexCath/ Boyle/ Louisville Central triangle is a tough one to survive. I expect the winner of that gauntlet to be a confident bunch, but I worry how banged up your football team may be after those games. The team trainers and medical staff are valuable in November.

Not all paths to WKU are created equal.......

The return has been good but the reason they squid kick is that the kick team is not. That came from the side line. If you go back we squid kick or kick it and it goes out of bound.

First of all its squib not squid, and I know the calls come from the sideline and I have watched all Boyle's games this season the kick return team has been excellent. Smith has always used these type kicks but it's not because the coverage is bad it's to create turnovers.
