Trinity 42 Seneca 0

Final.

Went for the running clock and called off the dogs, no shocker here.

Hats off to Seneca. They played hard, but were just no match.

Hard to believe that this is the same school that had a team that handed Brian Brohm's team a loss.

I was shocked to see so few players at a 6A size school. They had 8 or so kids in street clothes but still. How did they lose so much interest in football?

The final score tells me a lot about the Trinity program.

There is a way to win with class. Looking at previous results from 2015, this game could have been 100+ to nothing. Well done Shamrocks.

I understand the Rocks were very respectful of their outmanned opponent. That is no slight intended at S. It is refreshing to hear in an era of "sore winners."

Yes it was a good call on Trinity's part. They got to the running clock and in backups. However, don't look for the same thing to happen at Ballard next week. Everyone knows how the Bruins feel about the Rocks.

Agreed. I predict the Shamrocks to win but Ballard should give them a good game.

No, no they won't. Trinity will beat Ballard like they did Eastern.

Yes, very classy of Trinity. Took over on the 1 with about 2:00 to play and took a knee. Seneca has 22 players that have quit, injured or transferred. New coach has structure and discipline and older kids don't want to get on board. Younger kids are buying into the program and will be stronger each year.

If that's the case, I wish the new coach at Seneca the best of luck. Get rid of the bad apples and suffer through a tough year a two. The program will be much better off for it in the long run.

Yes, they had a former coach who didn't do them any favors with football. He didn't win a ton of games, ran kids off, made folks made and tried to recruit every kid in town. And then he was gone....

This new staff has class and is trying very hard. Wish them the best!

That new Coach is an outstanding individual. Wish him all the best
