What is that odor?

Featured Replies

So I open the dryer up yesterday morning and this awful smell comes out. Since my vent is channeled under the house and I have no way of snaking it out, I called an outfit that does that sort of thing.

I'm telling my sister, who lives next door to me, about the smell and she says she has not seen one her cats in over 2 weeks.

^ Did you just post that!!! :wideyed:

Just sayin'.

I could make a very vulgar joke right now, but I'll take the high ground.

Is there really a high ground here?

Can't wait to here how this turns out.

So I guess I shouldn't say anything about the chicken I'm roasting on the grill? I had a question about where to put the temperature probe, but ....

We're you ever an acquaintance of John Wayne Gacy?

I'm sorry to inform you that there is nothing nefarious going on in the swamp, here in Florida. No dead cats. No need to send the FBI Behavioral Unit. El Rat is not turning into Jeffrey Dahmer.

There is a vine, down here, that looks like a honeysuckle, but smells like ... well ... butt. I've always called it stink weed.

It turns out that with all the rain we had this summer, one somehow took root in my dryer vent line under the house. We ran a fiber camera through the line and found no cracks in the PVC, it just took root in water and dust. At some point in the last month or so, it started rotting. That is what was producing the horrific smell.
