October 9, 201510 yr That whole series of early Van Hagar releases seem to play off what David Lee Roth was doing. Roth releases "Crazy from the Heat". VH releases "5150", the police code for a crazy person on the loose. Roth's next release was "Eat 'em And Smile". VH then released OU812. Probably all coincidence or a product of my imagination, but it always seemed to me like it was VH's way of taking shots at Dave. 5150 was the name if EVH personal recording studio that he had build BEFORE the Roth split. I'd say it had more to do with that.
