That whole series of early Van Hagar releases seem to play off what David Lee Roth was doing.

 

Roth releases "Crazy from the Heat". VH releases "5150", the police code for a crazy person on the loose.

 

Roth's next release was "Eat 'em And Smile". VH then released OU812.

 

Probably all coincidence or a product of my imagination, but it always seemed to me like it was VH's way of taking shots at Dave.

 

Too bad Van Hagar sucked after DLR left. Take that, Alex and Eddie!
