Leonard Fournette reminds me a lot of....

Where did I ever say to not allow others? If players want to go, let them go.

We will have to disagree. Most aren't ready. The system in place works and is a good system for all parties. It shouldn't be blown up for 1-2 players every 10 years.

There are quite a few players each and every year that could have very successful NFL careers if they were allowed to come out after their second year. JMO.

Back on the original question...I think the way he seems to glide at top speed and doesn't look to be running that hard, reminds me of Eric Dickerson somewhat. Doesn't look to be going that fast but just pulls away from people.

Has the "I'll sit out a year til I'm draft eligible" thing worked for anyone?

Can't think of anyone that has tried it.

And possibly blow out a knee and be the next Marcus Latimore? Sorry, no way he should step foot on the field for LSU next season. There's nothing to be gained from it.

With the insurance in place schools buy for players now with recent rule changes there really isn't a ton of risk. That's the topic not talked much about in the media.

Not only is he covered if he has a career ending injury , he also is covered if his draft position slips due to injury.

Schools don't pay for that. Where the hell did you hear that nonsense?

They can pay for "loss of value" policies.

New one on me. It has always seemed like the NCAA and its member schools have been happy to let athletes twist in the wind after they've been used up.

It's a semi new rule and 100% real now. Actually I think Calapri can be thanked a lot for what schools pay for now.

They have for most it's existence. But this is an actual good change.

Reminds me of Debo (from the movie Friday) while he's on your bike and you can't do anything about it. Why limit this to sports comparisons? What do you guys (and gals) think?

Personally I think he reminds me of Vincent Edward Jackson.

Other than a neck/spine injury, is there really such a thing anymore? Use to be a torn up knee meant your were done. Now guys are back in 8-12 months.
