Like I said. If they beat Grant' date=' it just proves that they can beat a weaker team than them, and they are still not as good as the teams they play. Sometimes you just have to face facts, Cov Cath is not the team everybody expected them to be. They are a good team, but not the caliber that Highlands was last year. So everybody knows they will probably beat Grant, that's a no-brainer but facts are facts. Face it.[/color']

Everybody expects Cov Cath to have a good record right now, and they are not used to having a loosing season, but the district is so weak it will give them false hope because they will win a few district games.

That's very true. The district is weak - Dixie, Highlands, and Cov Cath with losing records right now. Grant I think is at 3-3, but played weak teams. Cov Cath fans sound more desperate for a win than their coach probably does. This district right now is up for grabs. It's whatever team shows up an plays.

Desperate? Nobody with reasonable expectations expected anything but this record. A play here or there and they beat Ryle and LexCath. They are breaking in a Sophomore QB and RB.

Cov Cath appears to be the stronger team in district right now but it's up for grabs.

Yes, the district is up for grabs. But it is not a four team race. Grant County loses this one big unless Cov Cath has four or five unforced turnovers which I highly doubt will happen. Grant County has never won a district game will with CCH, Highlands, and Dixie. They will lose big to both CCH and Highlands. I'd say the Dixie game is up for grabs but I'll go with Dixie over Grant by a few scores.

Grant County is better than they were a few years ago and seem to be heading in the right direction. But I would be surprised if they do not get 4th place in the district. Hopefully both teams can build off of the game.

COV CATH by a lot. It would not be suprising to see this game end up on a running clock early in the 3rd quarter. The extremely tough non-district schedule for Cov Cath starts paying dividends now that district play starts.
