No running clock unless Grant crumbles with give-always on offense. But, CC will overwhelm and win by 4 TDs.

I will always believe schedule is not as important as many make it out to be. Your schedule should fit your talent level. It does you no good to pay and get killed by teams that you have zero chance of beating, and playing teams that are significantly worse than your doesn't help either. I'd argue that if you are losing several games "you should be winning", maybe you aren't as good as you think you are. Grant's schedule is probably about right for where they are as a program. A few winnable games, and mostly toss up games. You can't control who's in your district, and most years Grant will be lucky to win a game in District, so Having a manageable non district schedule will help keep kids in the program and keep interest up.

Now wins versus 2A Carroll and 2A Owen who have. Carroll is 3-4 with 3 wins vs. class A schools. Owen is 2-4. A win vs. Rowan Co. who is 4A and has a record of 3-4. Now 3 losses vs. 2A Lloyd and 4A Harrison who has 2 wins and a loss in their last game against class A Louisville Holy Cross who had 1 win going into that game. I know winning is a big deal but they should in my opinion have at least 4 if not 5 wins.

 

Now they are not getting blown out and that is a huge plus but I was told they have like 22 seniors so upon further investigation, on their roster like 10 juniors and 9 sophomores. They appear to have a large freshman group so maybe some wins this year will help bring more kids out. But if not this could be the only shot they have for a couple of years.

That OT loss was to a Harrison County team that got blown out by another top 10 NKY team (in the rain) with a running clock early in the second quarter. That with two wins over two very bad teams, just doesn't give me a lot of confidence that Grant has even a remote chance in this game.

 

The OT game was against Lyod.

 

I'm reading this on a phone so I might be off. If I am sorry. Deer hunter said he was blue all the way. Grant county's colors are blue and gold. They went to wearing the WVU type uniforms but most consider the main color blue. His weak district comment was I believed directed at the fact CCH fans were/are calling the district weak. Which I think there is no question the district is down compared to the history of the program's involved. Before people start pointing fingers and saying I caught you they might want to read again what was posted. If I misread something in this thread I'll go ahead and say sorry.
