Who wins and why?

Pulaski Co. must contain Buford if they want to win. I'm a huge fan of how the Pulaski Co. program has been built.

Pulaski Co. 38

Henry Clay 35

I'm predicting this game is a high scoring affair. Both teams could be in the 60's depending on how the PC defense shows up.

The litkenhous rating doesn't even have Pulaski County ranked in the top 20 teams in Kentucky. Ridiculous!!! Pulaski County wins this 35-21.

I like Pulaski this season a lot, but to be fair to the Lit Rankings...their most impressive game (based on quality of opponent) was an actually someone what good loss to Scott Co. by 22 points. Pulaski just hasn't played anyone outside of Scott Co. to be able to claim a higher rating. I think they are are a top 3 team in 5A, but they are going to have to do it on the field as except for this week and in a few weeks against Southwestern their schedule is devoid of any real challenge.

Hey Jumper, in the 5A east bracket, do you see a rematch with SW and then the winner of the CovCath/Highlands game as Pulaski's toughest playoff games before the championship game?

Yep, I think the SW game will be the toughest. Except for the fact that the Semi Finals would be at Northern KY I think the winner of the Pulaski Region could walk to the finals, but playing on the road you just never know.

Pulaski and Southwestern are going to play (if all goes to plan) 2 times in a span of 4 or 5 weeks. I've said all summer that Pulaski can't sleep on the Warriors. SW has not yet played as good as I thought they would this season but they will be dangerous, especially on a cold rainy night where the speed of Pulaski gets neutralized somewhat.

On a hard dry field Pulaski IMO will get back to the finals, weather or a key injury would be the thing that stops them.

I agree here Jumper! But I've agreed and thought things (especially last year) and it just didn't happen. That's why you play the game!:thumb:

It would be hard for anyone in their right mind to pick a team (Henry Clay), who is on the road against a defending state champion, and who gave up 625 yards on the ground in the previous week.

I have not seen Pulaski County, but I would think they will have a difficult time shutting down the run with the speed of #6 Jo Jo Buford, #2 Austin Bledsoe, and #9 Devonte Robinson.

But...the Blue Devil run defense has been nothing short of horrendous.

I think pulaski gets zero respect . They are a good football team. They will handle henry clay. Convincingly !!!! 42-14

Field condition is going to be beyond terrible for this game..

Unless the field is a mud pit... better have extra bulbs for the scoreboard ready

If this game were played on a fast surface I could see 90+ points being scored in total.

With reports that this is basically going to be played in a swamp though this game becomes a wildcard.

PC could not contain the speed of Scott Co. HC has just as much speed as Scott Co... But then again this game is being played at PC right? Rain, natural grass, muddy= slow players.

It's going to be a swamp most likely because of the rain. However, I would not expect it to be like years past when the field was just a muddy mess (like BG last year). Hopefully, we can catch a break in the rain around the start of the game.
