Great result for NKY soccer.

@gameplayedright "Owensboro Catholic plays #18 Bethlehem with an OSA of 7.60. Huge difference in level of opponents for NCC and Owensboro Catholic, still have to go with Owensboro Catholic, don't see NCC staying with them".

Not only did they stay with them, they got the win. :dancingpa

Congrats Lady Breds :ylsuper::ylsuper::ylsuper:

Bring home All A State Championship trophy #5 .

Lady Breds won it all in '05, '06, '07, & '13

Will face Lexington Christian at 11am on Sunday in the "A" State Girls Soccer Championship Game.

Great win for NCC!

All I can say is WOW what a game. This had the intensity of a state finals.

Ncc went out the a two to zero lead with about fifteen minutes left to go in the first half. OC scores with about 10 mintues to go in the half to cut the lead in half, and that is where it would remain at the break.

In the second half the game got very physical. However, Ncc clung on to a 2 to 1 lead until with just under 6 minutes to go, OC scores from a beautiful shot from about 20 yards out to tie it on an NCC team that was about running on fumes at that point. Both teams tried one more push to win in regulation, but after 80 minutes the game was even at two's.

The game went straight to a shoot out. In the shoot out, Martin for Ncc outduels Klump for OC 3 to 2 between the pipes, and Ncc advanced to the finals tomorrow against LCA who also won in a shoot out.

This game was very physical with many fouls called, and 2 yellow cards. One yellow went on a OC player, and the other on the OC coach. The OC coach decided with 10 minutes to go in the game he wanted to have a rather LOUD discussion with the ref at the middle of the field on the sideline. The ref in no mood for chit chat promptly pulls out a yellow card and back to game action they went.

Congrats to the Breds!

Refresh my memory here. With PKs, is the final score 5-4 or 3-2?

3-2 would be the Final score of a game that was 2-2 and went to PKs.

Congrats to the NCC ladies.

Maher rankings has OC at 5th and NCC at 7th not sure why since NCC just beat OC, can someone help me understand that.

Maher rankings take into account the strength of the opponents into a computer ranking. So while it matters you beat a team ahead of you, it does not necessarily move you ahead of theat opponent.

No fair. It's always a private school. WAHWAHWAH.
