The second paragraph proves our point , it refers to being drunk , because eating or drinking anything in excess or in other a word, gluttony. That is considered a sin. But I don't think it's an accident that the largest pockets of wet counties in the state also have the largest Catholic populations in the state for the most part. Religion where you still go to church on Sunday but Saturday at the festival you may of had a beer with the parish priest right before playing some black jack. Oh I always tell people you can tell if a county is wet or dry by the churches you see. If most of them have "St." Or "Our Lady Of" in the name then it is a wet county. If most have just about any other qualifier like a numeric qualifier or "of God" the. It is probably a dry county.

You could also say higher population areas which also tend to be where the largest % of Catholics in the state reside. There's obviously exceptions because not all protestant religions are anti drinking.

October 5, 201510 yr Living in a dry county would suck. :lol2: Grew up in one. It's actually very easy to get alcohol as an under aged teen in a dry county. Bootleggers don't care. Pot seems to be a lot more prevalent as well. Now that I'm of legal age, you couldn't pay me to live in one.
