How do you figure the gross weight vs. the net weight in a deer?

 

Has nothing to do with weight. It's inches of antler. Gross is total inches. Net is Gross inches minus any deductions. This deer had what appears to be very few deductions. In other words it was very symmetrical.

Cool, I wasn't sure what it meant. I have never been deer hunting. I'd like to fix that soon as I LOVE deer meat.

Here is a link to the Boone and Crockett Club score sheet for a typcial whitetail deer. It shows how and what you measure to get to that gross and net score.
