He's gone on tv several times for high profile police cases, but never when an officer is killed.

 

If you can't see why police would be upset it's because you don't want to see it.

 

These days it feels like there is a lot of police hate. With that on top of the things the President has done in past cases, along with the fact that he's no where to be seen when Officers are murdered (by that I mean he's not calling any press conferences), it's not hard to see why they're upset.

 

I'm not sure if the Michael Brown family was invited to the White House. I only know about reps being sent to the funeral. Not sure about an invite to the White House.

Most of them were parts of speeches, not in response to questions. Some comments about Brown were in front of none other than Michael Brown's parents.

When are you allowed to criticize or question authority without being labeled anti-police? When are you allowed to accept the need for authority and a criminal justice process without being labeled pro-police?

Right or wrong though, I think a lot of police and people in general do feel that way, or at least that he doesn't support them enough. We always talk about perception, right? He's not done alot to counter the perception that he doesn't support police.

I fixed that for you and I agree with it now. He has made strides recently as has the AG and I appreciate the effort.

Yet Darren Wilson and his wife will never be cops again. Cops don't seem to even be supporting their own. Oh yeah. Too polarizing of a person to want to have all those issues at their police department.

When White House reps were sent to Michael Brown's funeral the whole story wasn't out and the general belief all across America was that an unarmed black kid was shot in the back with his hands up. What did Obama's Justice Department find out about that killing whe they conducted their investigation? I could have sworn that they found no wrong doing by the officer.

 

Let's not act like Obama is a card carrying member of the hashtag activists #blacklivesmatter . After the Michael Brown fiasco he was smarter about sending reps out and making comments. It's funny(not really) but cops say he doesn't do or say enough, blacks say he doesn't do or say enough, republicans say he does and says too much. I still say it doesn't matter what he says or does. He's always going to be wrong whether he says something or not.

Couldn't they just move and be hired by another police department far away from Missouri? Why stay in such a depressing situation? I'd have packed up my family and moved away a long long time ago.

I'm pretty sure houses are worth next to nothing in that area now, so if they own one I'd say it would be impossible to sell.

 

Not to mention their family probably ask live around there. It's honestly sad that moving has to be an option for a guy who did nothing more than defend his own life.
