Cov Cath

WOW, NCC plays Cov Latin, Beechwood, Villa, Holmes and Holy Cross X2, now that is a way to pad the old stat book and make that W-L-T look good. Maybe gives reason why some of those Campbell Co 8th graders choose CCH.

Steve Hahn seems to look at the bigger picture and not worry about w-l-t. He wants the boys ready to play come October. The only way to be ready and see where you are is to play the best teams you can play. I think he has also earned the respect from the big boy schools because his teams always compete and play hard. The reason IMO he plays a Covcath early in the season is so he can use it as a learning experience for these boys. He wants them competing for 80 mins nothing less and that's priceless early in the season. It will usually pay off in the end. Either on the field or in life.

Ok 600 boys and can't field a regional championship soccer team in 5 or so years? So the question of why would you choose Cov Cath over Ncc for soccer is valid. I believe the assistant coaches boy was a St. Joe kid, ask them.

You know, it's ok to just admit you don't like CCH without dragging them through the mud. It's obvious that's the case.

Stiffness will do that.

He's obviously typing one-handed.

OK, class....today's vocabulary words are:

"Excuses"......trying to justify the lose.

"honest reporting".....reporting why someone lost/won

Only very high soccer IQ's can tell the difference...

I still need some help with the initial post.

She'd some light???

I can't help but notice that New Cath has been racking up the regional championships in that same timeframe, what with their grand total of....one.

I thought that that was a term that my soccer IQ wasn't high enough to understand. ?

I know regions have swapped around a bit, so there may be a time or two where I have the 9th region champs switched with the 10th region champs, but since 2009, there are only two Northern Kentucky teams who have won more than 1 regional title: Scott (3 times) and Highlands (2 times). I don't really see much reason in recent years to question why anyone would choose to play at any school in particular other than the mere fact that...that's where they decided they want to play.

Region 9 Champions

2005 - St. Henry

2006 - Ryle

2007 - Ryle

2008 - Ryle

2009 - Scott

2010 - Scott

2011 - Ryle

2012 - Boone County

2013 - Highlands

2014 - St. Henry

Region 10 Champions

2005 - Covington Catholic

2006 - Highlands

2007 - Covington Catholic

2008 - Highlands

2009 - Covington Catholic

2010 - Highlands

2011 - Newport Central Catholic

2012 - Harrison County

2. Why do so many boys from NCC feeder schools decided to attend CCH each year?

Might have a 'lil something to do with the fact that Jeremy Robertson, Director of Soccer Operations at Kings Soccer Academy and Town & Country Director of Soccer Operations, is Covcath's head coach. Who wouldn't want to go play for the guy who's helped develop you as a player?

There is so much butthurt in this thread I'm typing while standing

I heard CCH enrollment is around 620. "Roughly 800", NCC math at its best?

Since we are asking questions;

1. Has CCH lost a regular season game this season?

2. Why do so many boys from NCC feeder schools decided to attend CCH each year?

NCC enrolls over 90% of 8th graders from their district schools. Last year alone, there were 84 8th graders in NCC's district. Freshman enrollment is over 90. They surpass their total district numbers every year.

So you might want to get your facts straight before displaying your silliness.

Double Yellow does not represent NCC. He/she is disgracing a great program with great people. Please do not judge all of us by their arrogant commentary.

No worries. I don't judge Simon Kenton by one guy either.

This thread is a good reason not to venture to Boys Soccer Forum.
