Saturday night game as Russell will introduce its inaugural athletic Hall of Fame class prior to the game.

Greenup needs to play their "A" game or this one gets ugly early. Conley and McKee will run wild on the Greenup defense. I think Russell is better than the 11-3 team from last year due to comfort in Maynard's system.

What's Conley run in the 40. He ate us up last season and looked very very quick.

It took a while to convince Coach Maynard, but I told him it was the Louisville philosophy, Pettreno played a lot of Thursday night games when he was at Louisville the first time and Louisville became very popular because more people could watch them. High school football fans feel the same way and the schools make more gate with more people being able to go to two games per weekend. Got'a love it.

Conleys Hudl says 4.54 but unsure when it was updated. He's very elusive for his size and with his long strides he runs faster than what it appears IMO.

Personally I don't have a problem with the high schools doing Saturday games, to me it would be the best option, though it would go against tradition. But the weekday college games are a joke to me, its all about money. The schools that do it aren't earning enough money on Saturday's alone, so they look for a day when they can be the showcase.

 

In the grand scheme of things the kids that play for those schools suffer in terms of education.

Lol. But, in his defense, I have seen kids that line up to run a 40 and run one speed, but when they are given a football in a game they are at a different speed. Daylan Beech is one example, he was always fifth or sixth fastest kid on the team, but he got from line of scrimmage to end zone much faster then anyone else on the team.

I agree. Vision is the key.

I just mean when you watch Nick Conley run opposed to maybe Spencer Cole. They have different turnover rates in which their feet hit the turf. That's what I meant by "runs faster than he appears to be". Lol

Even if Russell makes a conscious effort to be more balanced on offense, Greenup should still see a heavy dose of #4 . Nick should be the engine that makes Russell go this year, IMO.

Kid is a good player. Should have went to Ashland would look a lot better in maroon and white. Plays Great at Putnam too. LOL

Talked to a Greenup coach today he said they aren't over the loss last season. That is motivating them for this game. Will be their to watch this game. Thx whoever is responsible for this Saturday game.
