I know Kash and Rail personally and I agree he is an athlete but even you must admit with Ohelps in the backfield he should have the ball in his hands.

Just think how much better Paintsville would be if they had another quality kid on the field if they were able to get the job done. Trust me, we are good but we are not loaded at every position. I realize this is over your head. There is no excuse for Ratliff to be starting at Ashland at this point in his career, if Ashland was all that and more. Is this move just another one of Tony Loves moves that make no sense, or is this a case of Tomcat desperation?

 

Desperation I'd imagine, since the freshman couldn't beat out a d1 athlete for a starting job. Hopefully it works out for the young man at Ashland, obviously he wasn't liked by you guys in Paintsville. I imagine you lost a good one though.

Yes I agree, Kent is a phenominal athlete and yes he should. Kash would be a D1 tight end prospect as well if someone wanted to put him there as well and would fit well into the Chirico play book.

While this conversation has gone WAY out of context at times. I agree that i find it a bit odd to choose a Frosh QB to handle the snaps with no varsity experience ANYWHERE. BUT, he does have an experienced line, one D1 running back, a D1 athelete at TE in Obryan and another RB with a possible D1 future (Brown), so its not like he is being thrown to the wolves. It could cause problems if the run game gets shut down, but it all remains to be seen. All this will be settled in 8 days and u all can find something else to argue over.

 

Who is the Thomas kid someone mentioned at RB? Any relations to Juan or Matt?

Whoever the QB is at Ashland this year has no experience. Level playing field there. What if the best QB at Ashland is also their best LB and best TE? Maybe the coaches there think that what's best for the team is to not play him at QB. The same choice Joe would have to make to start an inexperienced QB. But wait Paintsville has an experienced QB. Maybe both sets of coaches are making the right decision based on experience.

Your not following along....Ashland is in a mess because '67 said so. Your gonna have to learn '67's comprehension level if you want to continue to participate in this thread. The man has much more knowledge than anyone involved in the Ashland program.
