I think SK will win also and it has nothing to do with coaching either but everything to do with a 6A school going against a 2A school. Not a knock on CAL at all, it is just the reality of the big difference in Big school vs little school in most cases.

 

NCC won several state titles, but even when they would go up against bigger NKY teams they would more times than not end up on the short end until they got to district play.

I have not seen CAL play, but I have seen DeSales play. I believe they would be favoured over 24 out of 32 6A teams IMO. Much stronger than even the NCC championship teams.

I am curious to see if CAL will employ the twists and stunts that gave SK fits last year and got them beat badly by Dixie twice.

SK should win this game. CAL is a good program and deserves some respect? Why is SK playing them week 1? No idea. However, should be a good game to break in all of those new starters on the defensive side of the ball.

 

Maybe CAL runs an offense that Jeff wants to see to prep the Pioneers for the Dixie Cowboys or the Cooper Seahawks.

Since 2000 NewCath is 29-25 against 4A-5A-6A teams. Now the last 3 years they have gone 2-11, so 27-14 before that is pretty damn good against the "big boys".

I am sure you can't. I can't wait until Friday, which is the only game that matters right now. But if we are to look ahead, I can't wait until November 13 when your favorite team is turning in their equipment

They might only be a 2A team but they have over 50 kids on their roster and have some nice size.

I'm not obsessed with any other teams. Just annoyed that a certain posters just can't find anything to complain about other than our schedule, and how it's holding us back while we regularly beat his team.
