I've seen some stuff that's debatable. I also suspect that our government hides a lot of things.

I believe there are millions if not billions of other intelligent life forms in the Universe/Multi-verse. Additionally, the Universe as we know it is around 14 billion years old while Earth is around 4.5 billion years old. Or put another way, many many plants have billions of years head starts on Earth.

 

Also, I said this in another thread recently, not all of those other life forms are friendly. I assume most of them are benevolent but there has to be some evil out there, and anything could be out there. I also believe we have been and continued to be visited by these aliens on a regular basis. On rare occasion they make determinations to reveal their presence but most of the time they fly in between the radar.

 

Any way you cut it, the American Government needs to tell us everything they know about other intelligent life in the Universe. The only issue is that would directly affect our National Security interests which makes this one of the most sensitive issues for our well being any way you cut it.

 

All I can say is I hope our leaders have everyone's best interests in mind.

It is just that, an assumption. I could give reasons but they would be easy to counter. The one thing I think all of would probably agree on is that if there are numerous alien civilizations in the Universe, some of them are benevolent and some of them are evil.

 

And my point really isn't that I believe most of them would be benevolent, my point is not all of them are going to be benevolent/nice/friendly/etc. so we best be prepared. Furthermore, if the government is hiding the existence of aliens from us then it is hard to be prepared.
