The coach told a few players to find "another sport," and don't even both coming back next season. Pretty harsh if you ask me, considering the boys he told this to are very good boys who have great attitudes and work their butts off.

As for getting on here and cutting down coaches, well I'm just getting on here being honest. Something most of BC parents are afraid to do. And I thought BGP was here to voice opinions. I've set by reading on here and watching at games and I'm tired of hearing parents complain in private and not getting out there and saying what they really feel in public. BC baseball program has built up such a big hype that all the parents who have a kid on the team are scared to death to do anything that might cause their kid to not get chosen next season.

 

Kids do change fast, I just think there was a better way of dealing with kids. Boyd doesn't pick Varsity or JV by age, if they got a Sr. they get mad at they'll glady sit him on the bench and let a 7th grader start in the game just to rub in the faces. That's the kind of stuff that needs stopped, they're there to coach kids not brow beat them.

Everyone needs to grow up and let their kid be accountable for their lack of effort. So many parents in this County want to make their kid believe that some Coach somewhere cheated them out of something. Instead the Parent should be pushing their kid to be better..

 

And I personally don't have a player that's been cheated out of anything, just an avid fan that hates to see other's mistreated though. So RedBlood if it's wrong to speak out where others won't guess BGP isn't what I thought it was. And now you see another reason why there aren't many BC fans on here. They speak the truth and get shot down.

Guess I just joined at a time when I had a lot to say. That's how it usually goes though I guess. Took Damron leave'n to get me fired up. Just hated see'n the good head out not know'n what was come'n in. and just hadda get it out of my system!

No Offense but in some cases doing so is exactly what good coaches should do. For instance lets say your senior hits a pop up in the infield and doesnt run it out down the first base line... instead they throw the bat down, let out some random profanity "under there breath" and lolligag down the line. In this case sitting your Sr. is by all means the right thing to do. Its a Senior's duty to be an example for all the rest of the team. Leadership and hustle often times start with the top. And the highest chain of command besides coaches is often your seniors. Whether or not they like it, players look up to them and emulate them because they've been around the system for 4 years. Hustle is something that can;t be taught its something you achieve through hard work and dedication.However, If they are benching players for an error in the field or a strikeout, it's a much different story.

yea some kids they're doing it to for just one error or strike out.... others 5 errors a game gets em a pat on the back and top billing. go figure.

Hey, I think it is great to voice your opinion as you say you want to do...But you are doing it in Private here...Go to the game and voice it, go to the coaches and voice it and Go to the parents and voice it....

 

Not a darn thing wrong with voicing your opinion:thumb: We need more people to speak up in Boyd, but lets get the WHOLE story, not hearsay.

 

By the way, that 7th Grader went 3 for 3 and made some spectacular stops on Defense......Hey, that was just my OPINION....Or actually that was just my FACTS.

Oh trust me I voice it everywhere I go. And what happened to that one boy is facts, I've verified those too. But when I look at players I go for overall not just one game. Check your error stats on some of those that the coaches say they have plans for. The long haul is what matters there not one game's stats.

How many players do they keep on the team? I cannot see cutting someone going into their Sr. season if they have been a part of the team for 2-3 years unless they are a problem.

Once again remember, these players are Juniors playing on the JV and we are only losing about 5 players off of Varsity. I understand everyones point, I think these kids could get better in the Offseason, but what if they had been given chance after chance. I dont know what players they are and dont really know the reasoning, but lets try to get someone on here with good hard facts before we jump to conclusions.

It wasn't problem kids is the thing. If it were I'd understand it.
