Maybe its about time people did hear about what goes on at BC instead of just thinking they've got this perfect ball club where the grass is always green. You want the truth I'm gonna give it.

 

I would accept those comments if you were talking about our Football Program, but you are speaking of our Baseball Program...And the last time I checked, they have been pretty darn successful!

 

Once again....I believe the PEOPLE do know what goes on and we are really sorry that you Friend's boy got cut....but, please quit trying to make these young men believe that someone cheated them....They had their chances...

The cold sometimes hard truth is this is BC baseball, and why they have been successfull for many years. I would rather they tell the kid if he doesnt improve before next year theres not going to be a spot for him, then see how bad he wants it but thats not their style. But the coaches will not hesitate to tell you the grass is always green because they are always pulling WEEDS.

First of all, in just a few posts ago, you agreed that a Junior on the JV Team, probably didnt stand much of a chance to make the Varsity team anyway, so lets down lose track of what we discussed earlier.

 

These things that are happening now are no different then what has went on for years, this year it just happen to upset parents that had a BGPreps Account and username, or you probably would have never heard anything about it.

 

On the fact of No chemistry, I believe that is in the eyes of ones that want the new staff to fail and in the eyes of a Past Coach. All of the other staffs had their chance, let these guys have theirs.:thumb:

 

I still stand beind my statement that JRs playing JV don't stand much of a chance on making varsity. I don't consider them as younger players, by the JR year you should be experienced enough to be on varsity.

 

As far as wanting the new coaching staff and this team to fail, that couldn't be farther from the truth. Sure I'm not a fan of some of the coaches, I have plenty of good reasons not to be, but HS baseball is not about the coaches, it is, or should, be about the kids. Do you not think that it killed me last season when we lost at state? I absolutely hated it for those kids. I hope every team at BC wins state, but that probably won't happen, it would be too improbable. But this team does have the talent to do it if they will come together and play like they are capable. If not, then they could be watching the post season instead of being a part of it all again like they should be.

The BC coaches there now inhereted the team last year. They aren't the ones that coached those boys to Varsity level. So it'll be a few years till those coaches can say they coached an entire team to anything. They lucked out and walked into a great team with alot of gumption and want to. That's what got them to state last year, this year hopefully the PLAYERS will step up and take care of business like they used to, cause those boys should still remember what it felt like and want that feeling again as a team. Not because new coaches are there get'n credit for what those boys already knew.

Half the mom's out there last year could've coached that team to state. Cause those were some awesome young men.

Your right there they'd rather pluck a weed that averages 3-4 errors a game as get a fresh face that knows the game. The weed of choice out there is those money trees!

Dang that explains alot. Cause I could have swore I was in Lexington watching them play. And CJ got that grand slam. But since you didn't realize they went to state that definately explains your view point on coaching.

Exactly my point, Your saying the team the year before the new staff was better......that means CJ and last years varsity team was coached by that old staff.....the new staff walked into a good team last year. They didn't get them as good as they were......that team was already there waiting for them.

2005 Baseball season....CJ and Group.....State Tournament.....

2004 Baseball Season....Seasor and Group....better team than CJ's by far.....NO STATE TOURNAMENT

And if you dont remember.....Ashland beat Boyd 2 to 1 in the Regionals...

ok, what i'm trying to say and I'll type a little slower this time. 2004 was a better team. CJ was on that team too, just because they didn't make it to state didn't mean they weren't good. They were good, good enough that because of the previous coaching the boys knew what to come onto the field to do and get the job done to get them to the state. It didn't matter what coach walked onto the field last year. Those boys were primed and ready and statebound. The new staff got way too much credit for the 2005 team going to state is what I'm saying.
