Once again remember, these players are Juniors playing on the JV and we are only losing about 5 players off of Varsity. I understand everyones point, I think these kids could get better in the Offseason, but what if they had been given chance after chance. I dont know what players they are and dont really know the reasoning, but lets try to get someone on here with good hard facts before we jump to conclusions.

I agree with Redblood, if a kid hasn't made varsity by is JR season, then odds are he doesn't deserve t be on varsity. That way you can clear a spot for a younger kid and hopefully deveop him better.

By the way have you mentioned the fact that one of the Players cut has admitted his lack of effort got him cut...Did you mention that?....Have you also mentioned that the Player had a meeting with the younger kids and told them not to let their HS Career end the same way by not taking advantage of the Oppurtunities...did you mention that??

By the way.....kudos to that kid for admitting his failure....that makes him more of a Man, then playing Baseball ever would......

after a loss, but they've had a lot of those this year, that's why I dont see cut'n your best hitter. I could see telling them work harder for next season's tryouts but to say, don't bother try'n out next year. And they cut several that day of the older kids, these weren't the 7th graders on the team it was the jrs.

Yes i've told the parents to get on here and start voice'n their opinions but they're too worried everyone will know who they are. I've told em all if they can call me up and complain they can get on here and do it too. As for what one of the cut boys told the younger ones I don't know. I do know it's not the boy I was talking about. This boy was there every game, every practice and worked his buns off for the coaches. He wasn't a slacker or whiner he was hard at it all the time. I was given the names of two more sophmores that were told find other sports. And unfortunately I do feel like president of the complaint comittee most days, it's hard being liked at times.

I'm guessing BGP is here to just voice good opinions? People can't take honest feelings about sports here or what? And are there just a few who actually know sports (in their own opinions)? RedBlood didn't mean to step on your toes and make you so defensive.......

i think this is a shame.Any kid no matter what class should not be told to find another sport. They should be able to try out at the start of a new season. If a kid has a problem then the coaches need to talk to them and help them improve. They are not just coaches but teachers and rollmodels.I do agree if a kid has an attitude problem then he should be dismissed. this hole situation turns my stomach.:irked:

Every story seems like it always has 3 sides, the side of both parties, then the actual truth. There is probably some truth in what both sides are saying. Some of the younger kids may not be as good as what BC is accustomed to in the past, but it is the coaches responsibility, along with the player, to be the best that he can be. That takes hard work and dedication from both sides, and a kid that young should not be given up on. Some of these kids are playing JV ball before they are even ready to perform at that level.

 

As for parents being afraid of saying anything for fear of it being held against their kid, that is getting back to the same feeling parents had during the Jody years. And no matter what anyone says, it goes on. For some reason, it doesn't feel like a big family at BC anymore. There is too much jealousy and bickering among coaches, players, and parents. I just wish I knew a solution to it all, because if it doesn't stop, BC baseball is going to be diminished to a lower class than what they are accustomed to.

Thanks I'm glad to see some people out there do understand what's going on and that changes need made. I was beginning to think there were laws against disagree'n with coaches.
