Agreed, he's done about what we expected minus the injury. On pace for 25 HR and 60 RBI. He won't get close to 550.

64 games to go.

64 games to go.

If he gets traded I assume he'll mostly be used off the bench, so no issue with the option vesting with the acquiring team, either. That broken wrist was huge for the Reds. As I recall, the bullpen also blew Cueto's win in the same game...

Good stuff. Keep the faith !

What are your recommendations?

Hes not even the MVP of his own team, how can that be.

Yes he is.

Good stuff. Keep the faith !

I don't think anyone has faith. People are just trying to find small things to enjoy for the next 60+ games.

What are your recommendations?

Just keep complaining and being miserable.

He hasn't been happy since the Reds traded away Dunn.:no::D:D

Mike Leake took it to the Cards last night. We looked helpless.

RBI's are a product of opportunity. Votto doesn't get as much opportunities to drive in runs because no one in front of him gets on. It's really not that hard to grasp.

Also, Votto is 4th in the MLB in wRC and 5th in wRC+. In case you're an average and RBI guy, this stat measures the total productivity of a batter. The top 10 of both stats is the who's who of baseball.

Not sure why I wasted time looking at that. I guess I can't figure out why some are so miserable and negative towards him. I watch baseball for entertainment and watching a very good hitter like Votto is a treat, especially when a top hitter is hot. It's not as fun when he destroys a ball against your team, like last night, but still...

That hit he had against Choate last night....:lol2: I just started laughing.

That was like watching a softball guy just do what he wants with a pitch.

Remember when Kevin Gregg was on this team? That was fun.

They might be in the wild card hunt had they ditched him after week 2.
