I just hope that they don't panic and do something stupid like trade away Randle, Russell and Clarkson for Cousins. That would be a mistake now IMO. I hope Kobe can stay healthy, mentor Russell, have a vindictive season and retire after this year.

July 2, 201511 yr Green and Warriors have agreed to 5 years $85M. Pierce and the Clippers agree to 3 years $10M. If they can bring Jordan back, they are going to be a real threat out West. Suns are emerging as a legit contender for Aldridge.
July 2, 201511 yr Kobe is old school but I think if he was worried about being Kobe's teammate he never would have entertained the Lakers. From what I have gathered the Lakers presentation didn't do a good job of letting LA know what his role would be. Aldridge has made it clear he is going to play where he can be a PF. Unless the Lakers could sign Jordan or Lopez there wasn't anyway he was going to come to the Lakers to play Kobe's Gasol. The whole organization blew this one. Kobe included but the blame and Kobe slander is off the hook now. From what I've read they focused their presentation on off-court opportunities in LA instead of basketball. Not what Aldridge wanted to hear I guess.

I heard a lot of the same. The Lakers really need to get their heads out of their butts and switch things up. It ain't 1995 anymore. They can't outspend people anymore and they still haven't changed their strategy. It's amazing to me how they are so aloof to everything that is going on around them in the NBA landscape.

Over/under is 7 minutes before the first explosion. Especially if George Karl hangs around. Hopefully they can bring on Rasheed Wallace to be an assistant coach.

Not sure but I was impressed with them this season. Jason Kidd deserves some props for getting them to .500 for the season without Jabari Parker for most of it. Plus they have the best cool name duo in the league: Giannis Antetokounmpo and Zaza Pachulia. Solid squad.

Not to mention Mayo, Henson, and Middleton. That's a top echelon of the East caliber squad IMO.
