Mustang
Our good buddy, Eugene "Puck" Puckett from Paris High School is doing a study on the history of 10th Region Basketball. It seems that from 1932 to 1936 there were only 8 regions in the State of Kentucky. In 1937 the state moved to the current 16 region system. The following Northern Kentucky High Schools were then designated as 10th Region schools. What Puck wants to know is what were their colors and what were their mascots? A.J. Jolly - Jolly Rogers - Colors? Alexandria - Mascot - Colors? Burlington - Tomcats - Colors? Cold Spring - Mascot - Colors? Covington - Mascot - Colors? Crescent Springs - Mascot - Colors? Hebron - Mascot - Colors? Independence - Trappers - Colors? St. James - Mascot - Colors Any help would be appreciated. broadcaster240
Starting in 1932, there were 16 regions across the state. There were 8 regions from 1928-1931. There were 6 regions in 1927. From 1922-1926 there were 16 to 18 regions. Things started changing with the introduction of class basketball in 1927...which lasted until 1933. If you will private message me your address, I will send a copy of the KHSAA files that includes when each school joined the association, where it was, nickname, school colors, etc. For more info, check out the following website page: 2. Basketball tournament scores, records and lists for districts, regions and state .
ColonelCrazy
I have no idea, but I hope somebody can provide the answers. I don't know Puck, but this sounds awesome. Let us know when it's finished, I'd be interested in buying a copy of a book (assuming it's published). :thumb:

Just Jim
I asked my Dad about some of the Boone County schools. He told me that he thought Burlington were the Eagles (you have them listed as Tomcats) colors of blue, white and gold. Hebron was the Cardinals colors red and white.
