Drone attacked by Firemen during active housefire

Featured Replies

Go to 11:50 mark and catch 2nd round at about 12:50.

Funny but dumb on their part.

Agreed. It wasn't right over the house on fire, and after the first "attack" he stayed back, and they still attacked it? Maybe they need to worry about the fire instead.

I don't see the issue with what he was doing. He wasn't even that close.

Maybe they weren't irritated with it, maybe they just wanted to see if they could spray it.

I'm with JD, I'd love to have a drone.

I'll bet it was done more out of fun than because they were upset it was there.

Looks like they were given an order to hose the drone. Maybe they were just having fun, but the house is still hot...and that is the business at hand. Worry about the fire boys.

I've been looking to buy one lately. I will probably wait a year or two for the prices to drop. They are sweet.

We went to a car show in Indy for work last June and we rented one. I got to fly it a bit, it was pretty fun.

It went crazy on the guy flying it and crashed, you can see that in the video. :lol2:

^ He's lucky it didn't hit someone. :lol2:

Definitely. And even more lucky it didn't drop on one of those show cars.

One of my relative from the Chicago area has one, I'd love to get one like his.

Then I'd fly it above the Cincy Occupy events lol, I'm sure that would get them going. Maybe go down around where MNT Ref lives and have some fun too :)

A guy I went to school with has one and when it loses contact with the controller it guides itself via GPS back to it's starting point.

The guy that was flying the drone didn't think it was too funny. He is talking about suing for damages to his drone.

Was it damaged, I couldn't tell? Seems to have continued to operate perfectly afterwards. I'm sure he saw $$$ as soon as they hosed it.

I was shocked that it didn't crash when hit with the water, those things are a lot more flight worthy than I would have ever thought.
