UKMustangFan
8, yes, 8 Kansas City Royals are currently leading their positions in voting. Only Mike Trout would be a starter that is not a Royal if voting ended today. Maybe 2 of them are deserving. So, will this be the year that finally leads to the fan vote being eliminated from the All-Star game process?

The fans should have no say in the players as long as the AS winner keeps getting home field advantage in the WS. It's still amazing to me that's a real thing. NKY Bandit
Maybe they should have the managers vote for players (just not their own). They see the other guys in the league and if they can't vote for their own (call it the LaRussa rule), should be the best judges of talent and production. lawildcat
Fan voting is so stupid!
Big Slick
Only 7 from what I'm seeing with Jose Altuve leading his position but it's still time this to be changed. Didn't the commissioner do something to prevent the Reds from having so many all stars once in the 70s?
plantmanky
I love it. More power to the Royals fans, get them all in!!!
lawildcat
I believe this will all work itself out eventually. MLB will fudge the #s to their benefit and all will be right in the world again. They have to have at least 1 player from each team make the all star team, don't they?!
MJAlltheWay24
I don't like that they took away the punch out ballots at the games.
OlDog75
Fan voting is so stupid! I have never liked fan voting for MLB all-star game. It was an exhibition game in the past. Now that MLB has attached who gets home field advantage in the WS, it's somewhat of an important game. Why not have the deserving best at each position? frankdracman23
The Reds fans stuffing the ballot box was in the 50s. That ended fan voting for awhile. Home field advantage is totally stupid. One player from every team is stupid. The whole not pitching thing after pitching Sunday is understandable but name them and then replace them and that replaced player should count towards a team having a rep. Big Slick
I read where Infante passed Altuve at 2nd base so that means 8 Royals and Trout. By the way Infante is on pace to have the worst OBP of any player with enough plate appearances to qualify for batting title EVER!
Jack of all Trades
The Reds did have this issue in the 70's one time and the Commish said nah baby nah.
LOOGY
Why did they get rid of stadium voting? I loved sitting at a game punching those things out
