June 16, 201511 yr Right, it was the 1.5 hours of continous "whooping and hollering" that was being talked about...:lol2: I can't speak for anyone else but I sure know what I'm talking about and I'm not talking about 3 seconds of clapping, I hardly think they would need a rule in place if people were only clapping for 3 seconds. You can pretend to make it about whatever you want but that's not going to change the facts.
June 17, 201511 yr #152 posts about much of nothing^ So, you disagree with someone and it becomes nothing? If it's nothing to you why would you post? You posted 22 times...about nothing? :idunno:

You posted 22 times...about nothing? :idunno: My point is, I will stay in a discussion that really amounts to nothing....just because. This is not end of the world stuff, yet for 150+ exchanges, it continues. It's not about you or anyone else's position on this particular topic, but that people will stay engaged...continually, my self included, I find amusing. Boards are for entertainment, I really couldn't care less if people cheered, don't cheer, whatever..it's just not a big deal, but I'm willing to continue, and yes I will post 22 or more times about, well, nothing.... ...and that, my friend, is really my point.
June 17, 201511 yr A. Yes, I am. 2. Absolutely. D. Most important of all. If my three seconds of clapping is too much, cart me off in the paddywagon. What really is the point of a graduation ceremony with all the caps and gowns and fancy announcements if you are not allowed to clap/ cheer/ celebrate? If that is the case, then the school should just skip the ceremony and mail the diplomas.

I don't believe that they were disallowing any cheering/celebrating/just that they asked that it be done at times seemed appropriate.
