Insulin-dependent diabetes and Miniere's Disease here, so I have to watch carbs and salt carefully. Daughter lives in Louisville, but we are always getting gluten-free stuff for her when it's marked down. Love the local farmer's market when it gets going.

I look at calories but that's about it. I shop a lot. Since losing weight I've found I still have a 300 lb. apptite and absolutely no will power. If I have food in the house I eat it so I don't keep any food in the house. I go to Kroger almost daily.

Being retired, I go to the store probably 4 or 5 times a week. I take the wife to work, so it's easy to stop by Kroger either in the morning or afternoon to see what's on sale/marked down.

I like the Kroger on Bardstown Road in the Highlands. Nice selection of cheese, sushi, etc.

I've become hooked on Kroger sushi. The store at McMahon Plaza opened their sushi shop in January and it's very good. They make a spicy tuna and crab roll that's very tasty. Thanks, now I know what I'm having for lunch.

We live about 5 minutes from a Kroger....We're there at least 4-5 times a week it seems. Probably 25% of our monthly expenses are spent there. Wife actually wanted to register for our wedding at Kroger. :lol2:

Same here (Maysvile). They are just finishing a minor store remodel, so I'm still figuring out where some stuff is.

As a rule, the spicier the better. The wife prefers California roll, Boston roll, that sort of thing. I like the varieties with a little more bite.

But she has come a long way. Refused to try sushi until about 5 years ago; now she can't get enough.
