I took away from this series that Votto is a pro and Harper is still a clown.

The sky is the limit for the kid and his work ethic and attitude are top notch. I follow him on Instagram and last night he was already watching film at his apartment of the Padres hitters.

For someone so young in terms of pitching experience to sky rocket thru the system the way he did and then perform how he has is very impressive. Great role model to have in the organization as well.

Love Lorenzen...great attitude, work ethic and his pitching motion looks to me like one that can last a long time. Very simple and mechanically sound. Throws an easy 95...

Don't want to jinx him though...

This season is in it's infancy. He's gonna be what he's always been. Poor. One out and the bags juiced, it takes a ground ball. So, that's a poor argument.

Give the guy a break. He had 1 poor season last year and we all know that was awful but his career numbers are pretty good outside of last year. Tell me whose numbers other than Chapman have better in this bullpen.

2013 2.86 era .200 avg against 1.11 whip 67 ks 66.0 innings

2014 4.88 era .236 avg against 1.39 whip 75 ks 62.2 innings

2015 2.18 era .132 avg against 0.97 whip 16 ks 20.2 innings

career 3.35 era .200 avg against 1.17 whip 189 ks 180 innings

He sucks. The Braves donated him. They have a pretty good idea what to keep and what to discard. He sucks. And he needed a ground ball the other night. No break.
