Because you know when it's pumping gas and when it's not. I still don't buy the threat. I mean, unless you started to pump the gas, clicked the pump in place and then sprinted away and never paid attention to it. That's about the only way it happens.
May 28, 201511 yr I can see how it could work. But I still think it would be hard to pull off. I can tell if gas is pumping or not, especially when you first start pumping.

May 29, 201511 yr I scammed myself a few weeks ago. Went into store bought a soft drink and $10 of gas after a practice then drove off and forgot to pump my gas. Remembered about an hour later.:isurrender:
