Agree 1000%, it is no fun yelling when trying to hold a conversation. I say an overnight gathering at The Compound.
May 19, 201511 yr .... I always enjoy the get-togethers, but a non-bar will be tough. It virtually has to be an evening with all of the sports activities that everyone on this site is generally involved in, and there aren't a lot of places that we can gather that will accommodate us. There are plenty of venues that are technically bars, but don't have live music and a sound system blaring, that could work. We did a Reds' game and stood out in RF one year and it was perfect, but it requires everyone to buy a ticket and park. We had a weekday lunch at Willie's once with about 20 people that was fun (I know GT enjoyed it) as well as an option. In general, I'm absolutely on board and appreciate LAW bringing it up.

May 19, 201511 yr The only reason I'm not a fan of a game per say is after a few hours you are forced to leave when the game is over then you end up at a bar anyway. I don't know what people think of this idea, but there is a nice park in our neighborhood with a shelter etc. can grill out and as it gets late I have no issue with people stopping over at the house and sit around the pool until the cops break it up lol.
