I live across the river in South Point, Ohio now, but sill work and attend church in Ashland.

Watusi - that is a beautiful picture of Pikeville.

 

John Grisham would have us believe that the tops have been blown off of all the mountains and that they are nothing but grey wastelands. Obviously, not true.

I'm going to post a few random pics that I've taken over the last couple of months...

 

I live in between two of Louisville's fine Metro Parks and just down from another.

 

To the South, Joe Creason Park, which doesn't look like much except when looking back into the park from atop the hill just off Trevilian Way.

 

 

To the North: Tyler Park, a small area not much more than three or four square blocks but with a really attractive historic tunnel under Newburg Rd. and some nice amenities for the neighborhood.

 

And to the East: the famed Cherokee Park, a sprawling recreation area crammed right in the middle of a densely populated area of town.

 

A spot known as Big Rock, which sits in the middle of Beargrass Creek:
