The rules from the NCAA , are followed pretty closely. I have seen many colleges reach out to kids, my son including, however they are not authorized to give free camps , or allowed to speak to the athlete, or parents of athletes by making any form of commitment or communications until September of the athlete's junior season . That being said if they happen to be at a camp , or at a high school scouting classmates , they can inquire indirectly of age and name of kid . They can go as far as of giving them an open invite to a camp , just not for free . I don't doubt, that if this kid puts in the effort and is as good , as everyone is anticipated for him , he will play at the next level. Just not sure NCAA will or would be bending the rules , for it at this point ...

Lol. too funny!! How can you tell by looking at someone how strong they are?? As a power lifter myself. Why are the records all held by fat guys and not body builders?? Muscle size doesn't = strenth.

In today's world most D1 o Lineman are around 300lbs. I have seen it myself. Now they may be a few guys that are smaller. Not that many.

6'5" 250 at 14 leads me to think he will have no problem with size for the next level.

Size is only half the game. Next level could be pay to play or free education. Like night and day. Lots of kids that start can play D3 ball if they want to. They may not ever get on the feild but they can be on the team.

It very hard to get a full ride. You need size or speed and film and camp numbers. If not NKY would have 20 kids with offers every year. We have 3 to 5 every year.

Which is why I said it's all up to him. It appears he'll have the size and footwork, he has to do the rest. Of course we don't even know if that's something he even wants. I'll be rooting for him as I'm partial to the O-line.

Rumor has it that football coaches from Ball St and another D1 school were at SK this week.

They may or may not have talked to the football coach. Who may have or may not have mentioned a 6'5 250lb 14 year old wandering the halls. They may have or have not showed some interest. Wait D1 schools only show interest if they offer a scholarship so I guess they were asking for directions to St Henry.
