April 20, 201511 yr Wanted to put this in here instead of college basketball forum thinking it might get more views/play in here. Heck, I could probably put it in controversial forum and probably not be too far off once people see the list. Newsflash, UK is not #1 ...heck they aren't even in the top 5. Lots to disagree with on this list. Have at it. https://colleges.niche.com/rankings/best-mens-basketball/
April 20, 201511 yr Author Kentucky is number 5.... Heck when I first looked at it while ago I could have swore they had them at #7 . man I really need to get my eyes checked. UNC isn't even listed. When you search their name it says they didn't have enough information to be ranked. Not sure how that can be the case.:idunno:
April 20, 201511 yr Its a problematic list when they have Kentucky with 3 championships. Uconn with 9 and Florida with 6!
April 20, 201511 yr The ranking is heavily weighted toward championships in the Final Four appearances and is only looking at since 2000. I am a little surprised Florida edged out Duke at number two
April 20, 201511 yr Its a problematic list when they have Kentucky with 3 championships. Uconn with 9 and Florida with 6! Not really. They explain in the methodology that each championship is given a 3x multiplier...
April 20, 201511 yr North Carolina doesn't sniff the Top 100 OR Top 20 in the state of North Carolina in the rankings.... Next!
April 20, 201511 yr Coming in at #15 ... Winona State University! (ranking just ahead of Arizona) :ylsuper: :lol2:

April 20, 201511 yr The "since 2000" portion is kinda crucial. Has to be Duke at #1 then. Has to be. Did they not factor in this season?
April 20, 201511 yr Has to be Duke at #1 then. Has to be. Did they not factor in this season? It indicated that it may not reflect the most recent data, so was probably before this year's result. UK is only listed with three Final Fours, but this was their 4th in the timespan. Duke only has credit for two titles, but now has three since 2000. Duke and UConn are close to a push since 2000. Same amount of titles and Final Four appearances. UK and Kansas are probably a push for fourth.

(And you don't now how much it pains me to type that. :lol2:)
