Sometimes these things are a scam. Maybe that's what she thought was going on her. That could definitely add to the stress.

Although I'm sure that the experience was less than pleasant, under what circstance is it ever appropriate to attack someone so personally? Especially someone who is just doing their job? I'm sure the lady at the tow service was just doing her job. I'm sure this isn't the first time she's been treated like this. And I'm reasonably sure she has developed a demeanor that she doesn't care. I would think one has to when dealing with angry, upset people day in and say out. In the end, she can do is what she was hired to do, and the anger and attack directed toward her was an inappropriate response.

 

All that said, many of us don't present our "best selves" when we're that upset. I do agree ESPN has the right to discipine their employee. I'm not sure what happened warrants firing, though.

Paid the fees associated with "breaking the rules." Took a financial hit and carried on. The towing company did their job and was polite and understanding because I was when I paid my deserved fine!

 

Britt seemed very comfortable and more than smug about degrading a fellow human being. Nothing stressful about this other than her sense of entitlement and vile, yes vile behavior while dressing down a woman doing her job.

 

If this is what ESPN is hiring to represent them, good luck with that. Britt is one venomous unhappy girl. Thanks ESPN for providing incentive to enjoy another sports source other than yours. The level of value decision makers place on "punishment or lack of" is indicative of their integrity and what they uphold and value themselves.

That video is chopped up. That could have happened at the end of the encounter and been rearranged to make McHenry look like she knew she was on camera the whole time.

I am definately not condoning it and I think she comes off very hateful. I don't believe she was punished enough being she represents ESPN.

 

But, I am not going to stop watching ESPN because of what she did. I don't make my decisions based off of one stupid moment. If I did, I would never trust cops, priests, teachers, actors, etc.

:lol2: Easy ll55. And nor will I stop watching ESPN all together. My comment was ESPN providing incentive to choose another sports source. ESPN isn't the only game in town anymore. Over time I have found other sports resources to meet my interests. If anything else though, ESPN should be that much more pro active to set a good example and employ stand up folks to preserve or gain market share.

 

I'll simply change the channel or click on another web site when Britt McHenry is broadcasting. As stated earlier and call it a hunch. This won't be her first negative PR rodeo based on what we witnessed. Venomous and unhappy continue to come to my mind.
