ESPN's Britt McHenry Berates Tow Lot Employee

I guess put me in the camp of wanting to see the entire video before passing judgment.

I would think she would have said something if she thought the video was not showing all that happened.

It's one thing to be upset. I've had my car towed, and I know the feeling. I was rude to the guy that answered the phone when I called the number on the sign where my car was parked. But I never attacked him personally.

Generally I take a "wait & see" approach & would want to the see the entire video before passing judgment, but I cannot possibly envision a scenario that would make her behavior & words appropriate. I don't care how rude the lot attendant was, spewing this type of venom is unacceptable.

I don't want somebody like that representing my company. I think it's especially true given the nature of her job (being on TV). I'd fire her.

So what reality show will she end up on?

She was angry and got punished....situation over...for God's sake some people die because of ineptitude (see Benghazi) and nobody gets punished except for the poor souls that lost their lives.

This is a pimple on an elephants behind. I have seen worse behavior by people being waited on by teenagers at local restaurants. :arghh:

Britt McHenry Goes Off on Tow Lot Employee

Welp, we barely knew ya Britt.

This is just inexcusable IMO. Everyone deserves to be treated with basic human decency.

You want go fire someone over this ? Ukm you ask for the most crazy punishments in every scenario on this board now.

What happened to you ?

Stressful moment?

Yes , have you ever had your car towed ? Very stressful.

Also is anyone going to point out this video was cropped. I guarantee you the employee was saying things back.

Good Lord I just read this whole topic. Some of you have now become so irrational in your expectation for punishments. I'm just shocked some of you are calling for her job for yelling at an attendant at a tow company .

Some of you need to get out more and I pray you aren't in positions of power . Because these perfect people you are looking for do not exist.

Not arguing punishment but she did more than yell and the way you framed it you appear to be saying it's ok because it's only a towing co attendant? If not, why even bring up the persons position?

Well first off yes I have a personal bias with towing companies because I've never had a good experience. Normally rude and condescending .

But ignoring that yes she was mean and said harsh things. But she didn't say anything racists or homophobic . She over reacted to a situation I'm sure had her stressed and she made a mistake.

But to call for someone's job over one instance of being rude is just insane. Not to mention the video was clearly edited by the tow company to make her look as bad as possible.

I would think she would have said something if she thought the video was not showing all that happened.

Maybe so, maybe she did to her bosses. i would still love to hear what the clerk was saying.

What the hell are you talking about?

Where exactly did I say she deserved to be fired? Stop putting words in my mouth, and actually read what I post.

What happened to me? Nothing happened to me, I just don't think bullying is ever acceptable. If that upsets you, that's a you problem.

I guess what's shocking to me is that she is a "public figure" that represents a huge brand and she knew she was on camera but still couldn't hold back her comments. She must be great to work with behind the scenes..

Also check out the YELP reviews for Advanced Towing in Arlington VA. Terrible company.

It's a towing company. Who is going to leave a good review?

What do you mean, you can't find "I illegally parked and this very nice towing company hitched my car while I was eating. They took the car to the lot and made me pay a fine. They were the nicest people I ever dealt with"
