2015 Reds Predictions

Featured Replies

Heisey was an asset off the bench. EDH, not so much. But off the bench he thrived. I'll be pleasantly surprised if there's anyone offensively who can match what he brought.

He was really bad last season as a starter or off the bench.

I am personally tired of myself along with others drinking the Red kool aid, pre season hype in past seasons ....Cubs have improved, their biggest improvement imo is in their manager. So, that one thing alone will put the Cubs over the Reds. I'm not predicting wins/losses numbers but I am saying this .... Cincinnati Reds = Dead Last in the N.L. Central. With that prediction at least I won't be mad or disappointed when the Red Legs Flop.

JMO, but I'll take Boesch, Dominguez, and Negron over Santiago, Heisey, and Hannahan. :idunno:

Pretty much a wash. You're depending on a couple of career minor leaguers to out perform their projected numbers from AAA. Heisey at least hit .254 with 4 homers off of the bench in 63 at bats last season. Santiago was capable to fill in off the bench as well. Hannahan sucked but I don't see Negron, Dominguez or Boesch being any better.

69-93...the Reds get hit with lots of injuries and are out of it by mid-summer.

Negron hit .271 with a .331 OBP in 144 ABs last year. That's much better than anything you could expect from Heisey or Santiago.

Season tickets are still available....don't knock each other down as you scramble to the ticket booths to spend your hard earned $ to watch these over paid guys shag balls.

Kept Hoover but cut LeCure. Still 'hoping' that Votto earns that big contract? That Bruce can hit his weight? That BP won't implode the whole team hitting 7th? I'm calling it a disaster. 63 wins total. Bright spots? Iglesias into the rotation after Cueto gets hurt.

Hoover is the worst pitcher out of the bull pen we have. He has been atrocious the last 2 years. I don't think anyone could blow as many leads as he has even if they tried.

In essentially what was one trip through the league with some of those being September numbers. It outperformed what he did at AAA and is likely not sustainable.

Need Joey and Bruce to remember what the back of their baseball card looks like. Sounds like Bruce still doesn't remember because from what I understand he didn't do well in Spring Training.

Byrd will be a little improvement in left.

Need Frazier, Mesoraco, and Billy to make some more positive strides this year.

This team has no shot and will lose the fans enthusiasm about late May to mid June.

then we will be talking about the all star game here and after that what the team can do to bring fans back to the stadium.

It also outperformed any of the guys that are no longer there.

22 out of the 23 games in the month of April are against fellow NL Central teams. Reds will need to get off to a strong start if they want to be anywhere near relevant within the division this year...

Unless MLB comes up with a salary cap I can not see the Reds ever seriously competing anymore unless they get a new owner with bottomless pockets like a Mark Cuban type of owner. The way salaries are going, unless the Reds can afford $200 million a year, they may as well hope giving bobble heads away can keep people coming.

Off topic, I'm watching the parade and how come all the pure romance ladies on their float are fat?

That didn't sound right, but it stood out.

Hmmmm...the Reds aren't in Kentucky and aren't part of the SEC. I wonder what hatred is driving this prediction.

A lot of UK fans are Reds fans....Thus NCF has to hate them.

NCF was a huge Reds fan until he joined BGP & started reading all of the over-the-top fan posts.
